A new leak by Twitter user “@GregiPfister89” might have just confirmed earlier reports that Samsung was developing cryptocurrency and blockchain related software for upcoming devices including the Galaxy S10.

Initial reports indicated that Samsung filed a trademark for a cryptocurrency wallet in the UK on December 27th. The trademark labeled “Samsung Crypto Wallet” sparked more rumors after the Korean tech giant refuted claims that it will add a crypto wallet to the upcoming Galaxy S10.

Blockchain KeyStore For Galaxy S10 Leaks

The leak originally posted by “@GregiPfister89” includes three different images. The first shows a welcome page that describes the application as “a secure and convenient place for your crypto currency.”

The next screenshot includes an import or create new wallet interface in the background and an alert below indicating Ethereum (ETH) as a supported currency.

Finally, the third image shows a tap for the application in the Biometrics and Security section of the settings app.

If this leak turns out to be true, Samsung will include a native cryptocurrency storage application called Blockchain KeyStore and supports Ethereum (ETH).

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to be launched on Febraury 20th, in an 11 a.m. Unpacked event in San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

The new flagship is expected to see a design overhaul adopting the punch-hole display, an alternative to notch design made popular by Apple.

The addition of a cryptocurrency wallet might make the Galaxy S10 the flagship of choice for many crypto users considering the immense interest they have showed in other blockchain phones offered by HTC and Siren Labs.

We cannot guarantee the authenticity of the leak but it presents an interesting outlook ahead of the launch of the flagship.
